Renee and Bill added a new workshop to their schedule this year, spending a long weekend at The Lodge at Woodloch, in Hawley, PA, teaching watercolor.
The Artist's Magazine, Jan/Feb 2012 (on sale now at your local newstand),
includes Maureen Bloomfield's wonderul article on "Painting Snow," with me,
Stephen Quiller, William Hosner, Colleen Howe, and T. Allen Lawson. (The rest of
the magazine is great, too, with articles on painting, colored pencil, drawing
draper, and art business with social media. Don't miss it!)
Bill will be awarded signature status (and the High Winds Medal) in the American Watercolor Society in the 144th Annual International Exhibition in April. He joins Mel Stabin and Lisa Budd as a demonstrator for the AWS "Watercolor Evenings" during the exhibition.
Bill will have 2 pieces in "My N*de Valentine" at Rogue Space in Chelsea in February. Four-day event, sponsored by Ilene Skeen's fabulous online calendar/competition/community, barebrush.com.
Bill's painting, Sunday Rebecca, received the Glenn Bradshaw Award at the National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic...opens Monday, May 24th, 2010, at the Salmagundi Club, 47 5th Avenue, New York, NY. Show remains up until Friday, June 11th.
Bill's painting, Winged Being, was selected by the Civic Ballet Theater of Scranton for their collaborative dance/art project. There will be a dance performance based on his painting on Sunday, April 5th, 2009...location to be announced. Should be fun!
Renee and Bill will offer watercolor and drawing classes at the Everhart Museum beginning Spring 2009! Contact Terra Steele, Director of Interpretive Programs, (email: education@everhart-museum.org). See our "Workshops" page for dates and other information.
Bill's article on sketch mediums, Four to go, appeared in the October issue of The Artist's Magazine.
You can read a "web-exclusive" segment on drawing with markers on The Artist's Network site: http://www.artistsnetwork.com/article/teitsworth-markers. Check it out, and check out articles and features from The Artist's Magazine, Pastel Journal, and Watercolor Artist, on this most informative site.
