Biography

 

 

Renée Emanuel, a native of Northeast Pennsylvania, creates colorful landscape and still-life paintings that celebrate her strong connection to the landscape and the still life objects that she loves.  She received an MFA in Painting from Marywood University and is a signature member of the National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic and the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society.  A nationally-recognized and award winning artist, her work was selected for the books Watercolor Expressions, The Best of Acrylic Painting, and was the focus of an article in Country Living Magazine.  Most recently two of her paintings were awarded recognition in The Best of Pennsylvania Artists and Artisans and she was juried into the book The Best of America, Watercolor.  In June, her paintings  will be featured in a show, “An Intimate Landscape” at the Butternut Gallery in Montrose. She will also have work in the upcoming exhibition "Art of the Land" at the Everhart Museum in Scranton, PA. She is represented by the Landing Gallery in Rockland Maine and Long Island.  Rockland, Maine is also the beautiful location for her workshop in August for Coastal Maine Art Workshops.
